BEDFORD, NH – Republican U.S. Senate candidate Bryant “Corky” Messner is the first non-incumbent in the history of New Hampshire elections to have $3 million cash on hand at this point in the election cycle.

“I look at the personal funds I put in as an investment in the people of New Hampshire,” says Messner. “This election is far too important, and since our primary is so close to the general election, we cannot have our nominee enter the final weeks staggering and broke. It is critical our nominee in the general election has enough resources to mount an effective, successful challenge.

“For too long, D.C. Jeanne Shaheen has used the power of incumbency to her advantage. I am the only Republican prepared to defeat Senator Shaheen in November and by far the best person to be on the ballot with Governor Chris Sununu and President Donald Trump,” he continues. “I’ll continue to work tirelessly to reach the voters of New Hampshire and reassure them that the Granite State will once again have a U.S. Senator committed to fiscal responsibility and personal freedoms.”

Messner explains, “I understand you can’t win on money alone, which is why we have assembled a professional and experienced campaign team. We have visited both virtually and in-person every corner of this great state. We are fighting for every supporter, and because of that, our support grows daily.

“Just this week I was honored to receive the endorsement of former New Hampshire House Speaker Bill O’Brien. That endorsement and his faith in our campaign I believe send a strong message that we must unite as a party to defeat career politician Jeanne Shaheen. It is more imperative than ever to return New Hampshire conservative values to the U.S. Senate.”

Messner invested $2 million into his U.S. Senate campaign in March, and $1.21 million of his personal funds at the end of 2019.

At the end of March, incumbent U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen reported a record $7.1 million cash on hand.
